Getting there from the Information Centre

From Lerwick its a 45 minute drive north on the A970 road to Toft ferry terminal. Follow the signs for the North Isles. The crossing to Yell takes 20 minutes. At Ulsta follow the main road to Gutcher ferry half an hours drive for the 10 minutes crossing to Unst.

Getting there by Aeroplane

Follow signs for North Isles following A970, to Toft ferry terminal take ferry across to Yell drive across Yell on A96 to Gutcher take ferry to Belmont. From Belmont follow main road north to sign post Uyeasound, Muness Castle, follow road past harbour roand bay to school, after school road forks left to Muness Castle, right to East Road. Follow road to right and carry straight on for approx. 75 metres.
